Step #2 Make it even cuter...

I know what you're thinking... "Why in the world did she even create this Blog if she is not ever going to Blog?"  Yes,I know, it has been a while. Between the traveling, work, sickness, and the never ending Spring rain season, I have not been able to do much work on this little Beauty.
Finally, this past weekend I got a my chance, and BOY did I work!
First of all there were a few spots that needed a little attention, the front panel had a little buckle in it so I got out my handy dandy screw driver and took out the screws that were holding it in place, flattened it out and put the screws back.
Also there was a piece of rotted wood underneath the trailer that the tin was supposed to be attached to, so I replaced it,
and after doing that I noticed that there was a split in the tin that needed to be fixed, which was probably the cause of the rotted wood, so I found this silver tape at Lowes, that is made for metal fixes on campers and boats, and is water proof which the Lowes employee said I could paint over, so we'll see how that works out.
Now, the next step was to wash her, and tape off my areas to paint.

Since it was a very hot and muggy day, I thoroughly enjoyed the washing her down part, I was a hot sweaty mess!
Next came the part I was super excited to get started, this part took me 3 days...

2 coats of white paint...

And 2 coats of RED!!!

Doesn't she look Gorgeous!!!!
I am so thrilled with how it turned out..
Now on to the interior!,
I have ordered my fabric for curtains and cushions, since it will take a week to receive them, I am off to buy some paint for the walls and cabinets.
Check back in a couple days for more Photo's

Step One: Purchase the cutest little Shasta Camper I can find!

Well, Now I have done it!

After a lot of searching and excitement and big disappointments, Several times I found the "Perfect" camper only to have it sold before I could even take a look at it, I was beginning to think it just wasn't in the cards for me to pursue this Venture. (Who knew these little beauties were in such demand)
I Finally found the one for me, and it is exactly what I need for my intentions (you'll find out soon enough😊)
The young man that had posted it on Craigslist that very day, was so nice to take it down the minute I said "I want it!" It was located almost 3 hrs away and I could not get there to look at it until the weekend, but I knew if I didn't grab it up right away it would be gone. So I sent him a deposit, sight unseen :) If you know anything about me, then you know, this is pretty much in character for me, As my hubby puts it I'm a "Fly by the seat of my pants" kinda gal. Which is very much NOT his personality, but he had seen me "snooze and loose" several times already so he said "Go for it".
By the time the weekend flew around, I was itching to get on the road, first thing. We made our journey, signed the papers and headed home with my new project. I am in love with this little 1968 (I believe) Shasta Compact trailer, and just wait till you see what I have planned for her.
But FIRST THINGS FIRST...
She needs a name, and of course it needs to be a Sweet Southern name. So I'm gonna let you, my readers, my Followers on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, my Family and Friends help me out.
Here she is, take a good look and give me some name ideas. I will post the winning name when I decide. Get those wheels to spinning, Shasta Baby needs a name :)
